Griffin Lodge Fair Funds Sensory Garden

Our Griffin Lodge service in the North West was buzzing with excitement on Saturday 5th July, as it hosted its own Summer Fair,  to raise money for a new sensory garden.

The event, brought together the people we support, our colleagues, friends and family, and featured a wide range of attractions including a raffle, tombola, hook-a-duck, a lively DJ and a bouncy castle. Visitors enjoyed delicious food and refreshing drinks from various stalls, while the local fire and police services also made a special appearance.  Two people we support standing with a guardian in front of a fire engine at Griffin Lodge Summer Fair

The funds raised will go directly toward building a sensory garden for the service – a space designed to engage the senses – and the purchasing of materials such as  paint, specialist sensory equipment, and new furniture to provide a calming, interactive environment for the people supported.

Service Leader, James Gandy, said, “What an incredible day! The atmosphere was amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout. We’re so proud to have raised funds for our sensory garden – a massive thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!”
