Community Integrated Care’s CEO on BBC News

On Friday 27th March, Community Integrated Care’s Chief Executive Officer Mark Adams was featured on BBC News stating the importance of social care in society, which has been heightened by the current Covid-19 pandemic.

The piece, which was a feature on the huge pressure the social care sector faces due to the crisis, aired on the national news programme at 6pm on Friday evening. BBC News at Six has an average viewing rating of over four million people.

On the programme Mark stated, “There’s a fantastic group of 1.2 million NHS heroes but there’s also 1.7 million social care workers who deserve every bit as much recognition and praise.”

In recent weeks, social care colleagues have been classified by the Government as Key Workers and have seen their efforts celebrated nationally with the #ClapForOurCarers campaign.
