We’re proud to launch ‘We’re On The Same Team’

Rugby League stars and people who access care and support have come together to help tackle bullying and discrimination, with a new free school education programme called ‘We’re On The Same Team’.

Oliver We're on the Same Team

The campaign has been designed by Community Integrated Care with the support experienced teachers and headteachers. It is simple to adopt, accessible and full of fun.

Offering a suite of inspirational and easy to implement educational resources, the project gives every primary school quality tools to help promote positive attitudes in their children.

Sadly, in many communities, disability hate crime and discrimination is increasing. Often, this anti-social behaviour and bullying comes from children and young people. This special programme gives teachers a uniquely fun and inclusive method to help challenge prejudices before they are formed and encourage their pupils to all be on the same team.

School children will learn important lessons about kindness, inclusion, and respect from stars of Rugby League, through engaging videos, lessons, and challenges.

They will also hear from several inspirational people who have disabilities, who share stories of their incredible life achievements and how it feels to be judged by others. With the support of Rugby League stars, including St Helens and England representative Jodie Cunningham, and members of the Learning Disability Super League, school children will understand that we’re better when we see each other’s potential.
