We’re finalists for Charity of the Year!
Community Integrated Care is proud to announce that our charity has been shortlisted for the ‘Charity of the Year’ title at the 2025 Charity Times Awards.
Now in its 26th year, the Charity Times Awards honour outstanding achievement, innovation and leadership within the UK charity sector. The 2025 ceremony is scheduled for Thursday 25th September in London, uniting key figures and changemakers from across the third sector.
The shortlisting recognises our charity’s achievements under our five-year ‘Best Lives Possible’ strategy – acknowledging our growth, sector influence and innovation, despite the ongoing financial challenges facing social care.
The recognition follows a landmark moment at the 2025 Charity Times Annual Conference, where David Holdsworth, Chief Executive of the Charity Commission, spotlighted our charity as an excellent example of successful collaboration in the sector. Citing our charity’s merger with Inspire in 2023, praised the team’s visionary leadership and commitment to unity in a time of national pressure.
Within his keynote speech, David Holdsworth said, “The charities saw how funding shortfalls, economic pressures and workforce shortages were impacting social care more broadly and chose to secure their future together rather than struggle through apart. And it paid off… [they] found strength in unity while continuing to provide that sense of belonging their beneficiaries depend on. Just as no home is built by a single pair of hands, no lasting social change comes from isolated efforts.”
Reflecting on the shortlisting, Jim Kane, our CEO, said: “To be shortlisted for Charity of the Year is a fantastic achievement and we’re deeply honoured to be named alongside some remarkable organisations from across the charity sector. It is a powerful recognition of the unwavering dedication, compassion and innovation our 6,500 colleagues bring to their work every day.”
“This also reflects the impact of our Best Lives Possible strategy, from pioneering approaches to care and workforce wellbeing, to influencing national conversations about the future of social care. We’re committed and motivated to keep pushing boundaries and advocating for a more inclusive, empowering future for everyone we support, and we’re delighted to be nominated for this award.”
Winners will be announced at the ceremony in September.
