Wensley Street win at Yorkshire Care Awards

Community Integrated Care is proud to celebrate one of our services being awarded a prestigious care sector award at this year’s Great British Care Awards Yorkshire which took place on Friday (12th November).

The team at our Wensley Street service in Sheffield won the Care Team Award their incredible work over the past 18 months, working as a team to provide incredible personalised care and support.

The ‘Care Team Award’ recognises a team with shared vision and goals, who demonstrate a commitment to dignity and privacy for the people they support, as well as respect for one another.

At the event, we were also shortlisted for the Housing with Care Award for our Dillington Mews Service – in recognition of the team’s commitment and compassion towards the people they support- and Service Leader, Carley Judge, was shortlisted as a finalist for the Care Home Manager Award, for showcasing outstanding management skills in supporting her team, along with her dedication to providing person-centered care.

After a challenging 18 months, the team have really worked hard to come together and ensure that the people they support continue to have access to fulfilling opportunities so that they can live the best lives possible.

We are also really proud of Carley and the team at Dillington Mews for being shortlisted for two prestigious awards – the team showcase outstanding levels of commitment and compassion to one another and the people they support, on a day-to-day basis, and it is fantastic to see their efforts recognised.”

We also attended the Great British Care Awards North West on Saturday where we proudly had five finalists from across the region, including being shortlisted for the Care Employer Award.

This weekend’s awards ceremonies form part of the Great British Care Award’s regional events that celebrate excellence across the sector. The ceremonies continue to take place throughout this month across other regions, with Community Integrated Care celebrating 24 finalists in total. Winners from the regional events will go through to a National Finals taking place in March 2022.
