We Welcome Kathryn Marsden to Board of Trustees

Community Integrated Care is proud to announce the appointment of Kathryn Marsden to our Board of Trustees.

Kathryn Marsden, Trustee.Kathryn brings over 35 years of experience in the social care sector, having worked across private care home providers, regulators, and local authorities. Her impressive career includes senior leadership roles such as Director of Services at Scope and Chief Operating Officer at the Alzheimer’s Society. She currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) – a charity that drives innovation in social care through consultancy, training, and workforce development.

Kathryn has also contributed to shaping the future of social care by teaching at Leeds University and The Open University, and she holds a personal connection to the sector through family members who have lived with dementia.

She joins Community Integrated Care at a pivotal moment, as we launch our bold new five-year strategy – Best Lives, Bolder.

Speaking of her appointment, Kathryn said: “I’ve had the privilege of holding many roles in social care throughout my 35-year career in the sector, including my current role as Chief Executive of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE). My vision has always been the same: a care system that can deliver high-quality, person-centred care to everyone who needs it.”

As a trustee, my priority will be championing co-production, fostering innovation and inclusivity and aiming to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality services that enable people who draw on care and support to live fulfilling lives.”
