We Join National Roundtable With DHSC
Community Integrated Care was pleased to take part in a vital sector-wide roundtable on Thursday 22nd January, focused on ‘Championing Sustainable Commissioning’ within Supported Living.
The session, facilitated by the Department of Health and Social Care and co chaired by the Chief Executive Brandon Trust, Helen England, brought together providers to share their experiences of social care commissioning and explore opportunities to drive meaningful change, through working in partnership with Local Authorities.
The discussion provided a valuable platform for providers to share real-world insights into the commissioning landscape – from approaches to tackling workforce and funding pressures to developing stronger, more collaborative relationships with commissioners. These opportunities give us a direct voice in shaping the government’s policy agenda for our workforce and the people we support.
Jen Moores, Business Development Director at Community Integrated Care, said, “It was encouraging to be part of such an open and constructive conversation, and to hear directly from colleagues across the sector. Sustainable commissioning is fundamental to ensuring people receive the person‑centred, life‑enhancing support they deserve.”
“We were pleased to share our experiences and explore how providers and commissioners can work together to shape commissioning practices that enable consistently high‑quality support. By strengthening these partnerships, we can create approaches that truly put people first – benefitting both the individuals we support and the communities we serve.”
