We join Adult Social Care APPG Reception

On Wednesday 4th June, we joined the Adult Social Care All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) in a Reception to launch their report – ‘Ensuring Meaningful Stakeholder Involvement in the Casey Commission on Adult Social Care’ – in Parliament.

Assistant Managing Director, Rob Anscomb-Gates, and our Managing Director for Technology Enabled Care, Joanna Scammell, represented our charity at the event in Parliament. The report makes recommendations to the Casey Review team on how they might best ensure that those who work in, and draw on, social care are included in the Commission’s deliberations and recommendations.

The event kicked off with an address from Minister for Care, Stephen Kinnock, followed by social care colleagues and people with lived experience sharing their insights.

Assistant Managing Director, Rob Anscomb-Gates, and our Managing Director for Technology Enabled Care, Joanna Scammell, represented our charity at the event, sharing our support for the report and reflections on the importance of co-production and stakeholder engagement in planning for the future of our sector.

Speaking of the event, Rob said, “It was a real privilege to attend the launch of the Adult Social Care APPG’s report and to be in the room with so many passionate and committed colleagues from across the social care sector. Hearing directly from people with lived experience and care professionals was a powerful showcase of why it’s so important that the voices of those who know and live social care every day are not just heard, but are central to shaping our sector’s future.”
