Community Integrated Care Partners with Remploy

Community Integrated Care is delighted to be working in partnership with the employment organisation for disabled people, Remploy, supporting the delivery of courses for people interested in working in health and social care.

Remploy and Community Integrated Care The initiative, which is currently being trialled across the North West, gives an introduction into the sector through classroom-based learning, visits to our charity’s care services, and interview top tips from our recruitment team, along with practical advice from our experienced care staff.

Delegates are also offered the opportunity to be interviewed for Support Worker positions at Community Integrated Care at the end of the course.

There will be eight two-week courses taking place across Liverpool and Warrington over the next year, with courses being rolled out to Central and Southern regions in the autumn.

Marty McLaughlan, who attended the first course in Liverpool, said: “I found the course really helpful in preparing me to become a Support Worker. The visits to Community Integrated Care’s services were really insightful and the interview top tips gave me so much more confidence when it came to applying for a Support Worker role.”

Rob Knowles, North West Business Development Manager for Remploy, says: “The businesses we work with are key to creating real jobs and helping us achieve our mission of equality in employment. We’re delighted to have Community Integrated Care on board, sharing their knowledge, expertise and advice on a very practical level.

Rob continues: “It’s been great working with Community Integrated Care, who are hugely committed to improving lives of people with disabilities. I’m looking forward to developing and growing our relationship into other areas of the UK.”

Richard Farrall, Recruitment Manager for Community Integrated Care, says: “It’s been fantastic collaborating with Remploy in supporting people to develop their career opportunities. We also hope it will provide our charity with great colleagues in the future! Thank you to everyone at Remploy for showing such enthusiasm, passion and drive in making this initiative such a success.”
