Bentinck Crescent celebrates ‘Good’ CQC rating

The team at Community Integrated Care’s Bentinck Crescent Care Home in Northumberland are proud to celebrate achievingColleagues and people supported at Bentinck Crescent stand together, holding up a banner that reads 'We've been rated Good by CQC'. The room they are in is decorated for Christmas with sparkling streamers and a Christmas tree and they are all wearing Christmas attire, including Santa hats and reindeer antlers. a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in their latest inspection.

The team at Bentinck Crescent support people with physical disabilities, people with a learning disability and autistic people.

Receiving an overall ‘Good’ report from the CQC, the service was praised for their person-centred approach. Inspectors said, “the provider treated people as individuals and made sure people’s care, support and treatment met people’s needs and preferences.”

Within the report, inspectors commended the team, saying, “they always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. [They have taken] the time to get to know the people they are supporting and working alongside.”

They further observed that “interactions were warm and provided people with a sense of safety and comfort. [The team] were respectful, acknowledging of people and accepting of them as individuals, enabling and fun.”

Samantha Brennan, Managing Director for Community Integrated Care, said, “We are delighted to see Bentinck Crescent awarded a ‘Good’ rating in their latest inspection report. The achievement reflects the team’s commitment to continually developing and improving the support they provide, and their passion for creating a warm, person-centred environment where people truly feel valued. It’s a testament to their hard work and the genuine care they show every single day.”

The team make me proud everyday and they have worked incredibly hard to drive up standards and provide the brilliant care that the people we support deserve. We are excited to continue to learn, improve, and drive forward with our new organisational strategy, Best Lives Bolder; ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.”
