Awards evening awaits for Community Integrated Care!

Community Integrated Care is proud to be represented at the Great British Home Care Awards, taking place tomorrow evening at Birmingham’s Burlington Hotel!

Supported by the Department of Health, The Great British Care Awards are a celebration of excellence across the care sector, paying tribute to individuals and organisations who deliver outstanding services and inspirational care.

As winners in their regional events last year, our nominees will take to the stage to compete amongst the very best the case sector has to offer.

Meet our nominees!

Community Integrated Care – Home Care Provider

Community Integrated Care is shortlisted for the Home Care Provider Award, thanks to the incredible impact of our company-wide Personalisation Strategy and our commitment to developing and nurturing staff.

In the last year, we have embraced personalisation – partnering with Helen Sanderson Associates on a landmark project, which will see us enable every colleague and person we support (10,000 in total!), to have their own one-page profile. We have worked alongside Changing Our Lives – a national user led learning disability rights group – to employ Peer Reviewers, who are supported by our charity and critically evaluate the standards of our service.

Adam Wells – Putting People First Award

In his relatively short career so far with Community Integrated Care – Adam’s impact has been incredible.

Remodelling un-personalised services, introducing one-page profiles and skills matching in his services, mentoring staff, challenging under-performing partners to ensure the best lives possible for the people in his services… Adam’s leadership and vision has changed many lives.

Peer Reviewers – …also up for the Putting People First Award!

Up against our very own Adam wells, are our amazing Peer Reviewers! This group of outstanding people requires very little introduction.

It is their job to critically evaluate the standards of our services, as experts by experience. In their role, they visit services and carry out Quality of Life audits, identifying good practice and areas for improvement, to improve the lives of the people at each service.

Services have been transformed thanks to their audits. Their recommendations have ranged from the seemingly obvious, e.g. people having their own front door key and planning their own mealtimes – to the more significant and transformative, such as reworked support plans and tailored rotas. Some of their achievements have even exceeded our expectations – the team have also attended (and won!) renowned care awards, and even spoken at national conferences.

All of our people are winners of course, but I’m sure you’ll join us in wishing them the very best of luck for tomorrow’s event!
