General Election 2024

The 2024 General Election will be taking place on Thursday 4th July. A big part of our Best Lives Possible vision is empowering people to play an active role in society. Voting supports citizenship, and everyone should have the chance to make their mark, if they choose to.

Frontline colleagues – it’s so important that you’re talking to the people you support about the General Election now, ensuring they have the information they need to make a decision around voting, and supporting them to register if they would like to take part.

Here is a quick summary of the key events, resources and deadlines you need to be aware of:

Voice Groups

Our Voice Groups are a fantastic opportunity for the people we support to meet up, talk about the issues important to them, and share their feedback with our Quality team, to improve the support we provide across our charity. Following the announcement of the General Election, we have scheduled more Voice Groups so the people we support can come together and discuss voting. Sessions will start taking place from 17th June, and continue into the week commencing 24th June, with both online and in-person meetings available. We would encourage all the people we support to come along, if they would like to!

Email VoiceGroup@c-i-c.co.uk to register your interest on the behalf of someone you support.
