We feature in Charity Commission CEO’s Keynote

We were proud to be recognised by David Holdsworth, Chief Executive of the Charity Commission, during his keynote address at the Charity Times Annual Conference on Wednesday 21st May 2025. Community Integrated Care was highlighted as a positive example of successful collaboration in the charity sector – a testament to the impact of our partnerships and the dedication of our teams.

As part of a powerful speech exploring how charities have responded to major sector-wide challenges – from economic pressures and funding shortfalls to workforce shortages and global instability – David highlighted our 2023 merger with Inspire as an example of best practice in the sector.

Charity Commission Chief Executive, David Holdsworth, delivering his keynote speech at the Charity Times Leadership Conference 2025.David said, “The charities saw how funding shortfalls, economic pressures and workforce shortages were impacting social care more broadly and chose to secure their future together rather than struggle through apart. And it paid off…These charities found strength in unity while continuing to provide that sense of belonging their beneficiaries depend on. Just as no home is built by a single pair of hands, no lasting social change comes from isolated efforts.”

This recognition reflects our values-led approach, our commitment to working in partnership, and the dedication of our teams in supporting people to live full and happy lives. It also highlights the growing importance of mergers in the social care sector as a way to increase resilience, sustainability, and impact.

This year’s conference – ‘Navigating the funding crisis whilst meeting a surge in demand’ – brought together leaders and experts from across the sector to explore innovative approaches to charity funding, strategic partnerships, and new ways of delivering value in an increasingly complex social care landscape.
