Trustees Week Celebrations Across Our Charity
As part of Trustees Week, people we support across our charity were delighted to welcome special guests – Trustees Sue Tunmore, Kathryn Marsden and Imogen Shillito – into their homes on Tuesday 4th November.
Following the announcement made on Monday 3rd November, welcoming Kathryn Marsden to our Board of Trustees, Kathryn has hit the ground running with fellow trustee Sue Tunmore, visiting several of our services across the North West.
Together the two Trustees, learnt more about the people supported in the region, and spoke with colleagues about the important work that they do.
Speaking about her experience at Arncliffe Gardens, an Extra Care Service in Liverpool, Kathryn said, “It’s only been open a short time but it’s really fantastic and you can see the real quality of care it gives to people and the independence it offers them.”
Adding to this, Sue offered her thanks to all the teams at the services visited. She said, “It’s been great to meet you today and thank you for all the fantastic work you do in supporting people.”
Meanwhile in the South, Trustee Imogen Shilito, who joined our charity’s Board of Trustees in May, visited five of our services across Hampshire. Imogen spent time speaking to colleagues and the people we support, listening to their experiences and discovering ways we can continue to drive positive change and excellence across our charity.
Our Head of Operations for the South, Caroline Robins, accompanied Imogen on the visits. She said, “It was fantastic to welcome Imogen to so many of our services across Hampshire. It was a real privilege to showcase the incredible work our teams do every day and to see the people we support proudly show Imogen around their homes. Imogen thoroughly enjoyed meeting our colleagues and the people at the heart of our services.”
