Trustee Dinesh Mangaru visits Oxford services
Colleagues and people supported by our charity were delighted to welcome Trustee, Dinesh Mangaru, to visit our supported living services in Oxfordshire on Thursday 29th May.
The day began at Millers Yard, a vibrant service that supports up to 11 people, where Dinesh was treated to a warm welcome of tea and cakes as he got the opportunity to learn all about the people we support and their teams.
Joining in with some of the traditions of the service, Dinesh even left a comment on the Millers Yard Recognition Board, reflecting on what a ‘wonderful environment’ the service is and how the people we support and colleagues have great engagement.
The visits continued into the afternoon, where Dinesh visited two of our Banesberie Close services. During his visits, Dinesh was able to see how active the people we support are in their local community.
Rob Anscomb-Gates, Assistant Managing Director for the area commented: “We were delighted to welcome Dinesh to our Oxfordshire services. Conversation flowed, and he was able to learn about the people we support and the commitment of our colleagues. From discussing favourite hobbies and upcoming holiday plans, to hearing the experiences of one of the people we support who is a Quality Advisor for our charity.”
“We were all impressed by the enthusiasm and energy of our teams and the people we support, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you to our colleagues for such a warm welcome and to Dinesh for his continued support, his visit meant a lot to everyone involved.”
