Shocka hosts special event on What To Do
Community Integrated Care is delighted to welcome mental health advocate and rapper, Shocka, to deliver an exclusive online performance on our charity’s www.What-To-Do.co.uk platform.
The session will take place on Wednesday 14th May at 6pm to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.
Shocka, who lives with Scizophrenia, anxiety and depression, has shared his story and tools for living well and pursuing your dreams with a mental health challenge in acclaimed TED talks and with communities across the UK.
As one of the UK’s leading mental health advocates, his music is filled with his lived experiences and messages of hope, compassion and support for people facing their own mental health barriers.
He will lead an inspiring session that blends performance with reflection and conversation. Open to people who access care and support, as well as social care professionals, the event will offer a unique space to connect, uplift, and explore mental wellbeing through music and creativity.
Amongst his set list for the event include tracks from his latest album ‘Vulnerability is the New Cool’.
John Hughes, Director of Partnerships & Communities at Community Integrated Care said:
