Sara Murphy Joins Scotland Policy Conference

On Thursday 18th September, Sara Murphy, Managing Director at Community Integrated Care, joined panellists on Scotland Policy Conferences latest seminar – ‘Next steps for social care in Scotland and Care Reform Act implementation.’

The online event brought together key policymakers, stakeholders and sector leaders to discuss the future of social care in Scotland, following the Care Reform (Scotland) Act receiving royal assent in July.

With topics ranging from governance and accountability to funding sustainability, workforce challenges and digital innovation, the event explored the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for the sector.

Sara joined a high-profile panel discussion – ‘Delivering social care reform – national and local governance, funding sustainability, and improving the quality of care across services’ – offering her perspective from the frontline. She spoke alongside respected sector leaders including Rachel Cackett, CEO of the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland.

Reflecting on the session, Sara said, “I was proud to represent Community Integrated Care and contribute to such an important discussion at the Scotland Policy Conference. As a provider, we see first-hand the challenges and pressures facing our workforce and the people we support – but we also see the incredible potential that exists when policy, practice, and collaboration align. I look forward to continuing to work with colleagues across the sector to have these important conversations and ensure meaningful change for everyone who relies on, and works in, social care in Scotland.”
