Sara Murphy Appointed to CCPS Board

Community Integrated Care is proud to share that Sara Murphy, our Managing Director for Scotland, has been appointed to the Board of the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS).

Sara officially took up the position during CCPS’ recent Annual General Meeting on Monday 22nd September.

CCPS represents not-for-profit social care providers across Scotland, working to influence policy, champion best practice, and strengthen the sustainability of the sector. As a Board member, Sara will support the organisation’s mission, vision and strategic direction, working closely with its executive team and CEO.

Reflecting on her appointment, Sara said, “It’s a real privilege to join the Board of CCPS at such an important time for the sector. I look forward to acting as an advocate and ambassador for social care in Scotland, ensuring the voices of providers and the people we support are heard. I am excited to contribute my experience, share insights, and work collaboratively with colleagues across CCPS to strengthen and champion the vital work that our teams do.”

We also want to take this opportunity to recognise our Chief Operating Officer, Karen Sheridan, who recently stepped down from her role on the CCPS Board after three years of dedicated service.

Karen said, “It was an honour to work with exceptional leaders from across Scotland.  CCPS has been at the forefront of influence in key areas such as The National Care Service (NCS), calls for The Scottish Government to commit to fair pay for social care workers and input to Winter Preparedness Plans.  Being part of a Board, championing change for the good of the social care sector and those who rely on it, was a privilege and a pleasure.”
