Helen and Kaylee Raise Funds with Skydive
Helen Baldwin and Kaylee Hanley, two of our support workers from West Yorkshire, recently took fundraising to new heights – jumping out of a plane at 1,500 feet to raise money for the people we support.
The skydive was just one of several creative fundraising activities that the pair have carried out over the past few months, alongside their team, to raise money for Ash View – a new Extra Care service in Huddersfield. The team’s efforts have already led to the purchase of a karaoke machine and a brand-new cinema room for the people we support.
So far, Helen and Kaylee have raised over £500 from the sky dive but are keen to keep up the fundraising efforts, with the team setting their sights on the next big challenge – a sponsored shark dive!
Edd Terrey, Managing Director at Community Integrated Care, said, “This is an amazing achievement. They should be so proud of themselves. This is the kind of passion, courage and dedication that makes real change happen.”
Helen Baldwin said, “The skydive was an unforgettable experience – truly incredible from start to finish. It felt like the perfect chance to not only tick something off our bucket lists but also to raise money for Ash View at the same time. We’re passionate about going beyond day-to-day care for the people we support. Bring on the shark dive!”
A huge congratulations and thank you to Helen, Kaylee and the entire Ash View support team for going above and beyond to make a difference. Stay tuned for updates on the shark dive and other fundraising adventures to come!
