Halewood care service celebrates 10 years

Derby Court, a care service based in Halewood, has proudly marked its ten year anniversary of providing life-changing support to local people, with a heartwarming community celebration.

Part of national social care charity, Community Integrated Care, Derby Court is an Extra Care service that has supported adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities, to live independent lives in their community, for the past decade.

The event, held earlier this month, brought together people supported at Derby Court and colleagues from Community Integrated Care and Plus Dane Housing, as well as family members and local people, for an afternoon of singing, dancing and celebration. Group of people we support celebrating

Emma Hughes, Service Leader at Derby Court, said, “The day was full of joy, music and sunshine, and a real reflection of everything Derby Court stands for. Colleagues and the people we support came together to celebrate the strength of the community we’ve built together over the past ten years. I’d like to send a heartfelt thank you to Jody Gavin, Plus Dane Housing’s Older Person’s Scheme Coordinator, for supporting us to organise the party. She helped us make it a really special day for everyone who joined the celebrations.”

Bryony Osborne, Head of Operations at Community Integrated Care, said, “I’m incredibly proud to see this service celebrate a decade of providing excellent support – highlighting compassion, teamwork and the meaningful impact Derby Court has had on so many lives. It’s truly heartening to witness the strong bonds between our colleagues, the people we support and the wider community. We are excited for what the future holds and look forward to another decade of making a meaningful difference at Derby Court.”
