Fabian Hamilton MP Visits North Leeds Services

Community Integrated Care was proud to welcome Fabian Hamilton, Labour MP for Leeds North East, to two of our North Leeds services on Friday 19 September, showcasing the impact of high-quality, person-centred social care in the community.

Fabian Hamilton MP, stands in a bright living room, surrounded by colleagues and people supported by Community Integrated Care. All are smiling to camera.Throughout the visits, Fabian met with people we support and colleagues, and heard how the teams provide tailored support for people with a range of learning disabilities and mental health conditions. With a focus on choice, control, and independence, they shared how they empower people to live truly fulfilling lives, celebrating everyday achievements and goals that matter to each individual.

Fabian was accompanied by Edd Terrey, Managing Director, and James Brind, Head of Operations. Together they discussed what outstanding social care looks like day-to-day, the positive outcomes achieved by the people we support, and the broader context and challenges faced within the social care sector.

Reflecting on the visits, Edd said, “It was a pleasure to welcome Fabian and share the brilliant work of our colleagues and the achievements of the people we support. At Community Integrated Care, we’re proud of our services and the value we bring to thousands of adults across the country. Visits like Fabian’s help shine a light on our charity’s successes, whilst also sharing the barriers and challenges we face. It was great to meet him, and I look forward to continuing the conversation.”

The morning offered a frontline view of how integrated, person-centred support enables people to live the best lives possible. We extend our thanks to Fabian Hamilton for taking the time to meet our teams and the people we support, and for engaging with some of our social care services in Leeds.
