Amy celebrates 15 years at Costa

Amy, a valued team member at Costa Coffee and a person we support, is marking an incredible 15 years of service, working at her local Costa Coffee in Liverpool.

Over the past decade and a half, Amy has become a familiar and cherished face at Costa, where she continues to thrive in a role she loves. Her journey is a shining example of inclusive employment opportunities and how our charity’s support can empower people to reach their full potential.

In her role as floor staff, Amy’s responsibilities include maintaining the coffee shop, to ensure it is clean and welcoming for all customers. Her positive attitude and commitment to her work have made her an integral part of the team.

Despite changes within the staff team over the years, Amy has always been welcomed and supported as a core team member. Her cheerful presence and infectious energy have made her days on shift something that her colleagues look forward to—lifting spirits and boosting team morale.

In recent years, Amy has expanded her contributions by assisting more frequently behind the counter. Under the careful supervision of her colleagues, she has taken on tasks such as serving customers and preparing cold beverages.

Amy said, “I love coming to work at Costa – it’s like a second home to me. Every week, I get to do something I enjoy, be part of a great team, and see friendly faces. I’m really proud of how far I’ve come in 15 years!”

Service Leader for our charity’s Vocational Support Services, Sharon Eakins, said, “Amy’s enthusiasm and dedication remain as strong as ever, with Amy still looking forward to every shift with a smile. The team are so proud of Amy and how far she’s come!”

Amy’s achievement is also a proud moment for our Vocational Support Services team, who are committed to supporting people to access rewarding, long-term employment.
