Amandajayne’s Royal Invite To Windsor Castle

Community Integrated Care was proud to see Amandajayne Swann, one of our charity’s Support Workers based in Nottingham, invited to a Royal Reception hosted by the King and Queen at Windsor Castle on Wednesday 11th February. The event recognised the outstanding contribution of carers and care workers across the UK.

She’s also a member of the Care Workers’ Charity Advisory Board and received the royal invitation in recognition of her longstanding commitment to the social care sector, having worked in care from a young age.

At the Royal Reception, Amandajayne joined representatives from across social care – including young carers, support workers and sector leaders – who shared their experiences of working in frontline care, offering insight into the challenges and responsibilities and underlining the essential role of social care in communities across the UK.

Senior members of the Royal Family were also in attendance, alongside prominent public figures, including Prime Minister, Keir Starmer.

Amandajayne said, “Attending this reception was an immense privilege. Having been a carer from an early age, standing there and representing the people I support and the incredible colleagues who give so much of themselves every day, filled me with overwhelming pride.”

She continued, “I felt truly honoured to share my journey and to speak openly about the strength, compassion and resilience of carers and care workers – both paid and unpaid. It was a moment that will stay with me – to have our voices genuinely heard made me feel seen, valued and truly grateful.”

Rob Anscomb-Gates, Assistant Managing Director at Community Integrated Care, said, “We’re really proud of Amandajayne for being invited to such an important event – she’s a committed and hard-working colleague, with a real passion for social care. It has been wonderful to see her continued involvement with The Care Workers’ Charity and the passion with which she represents our sector. This invitation was a well-deserved recognition for her hard work and dedication to the people we support in Nottingham.”
