We’re shortlisted for two Scottish Care Awards
Community Integrated Care is proud to announce that two of our colleagues have been shortlisted for prestigious accolades at Scottish Care’s Care at Home and Housing Support Awards 2025.
The awards ceremony, taking place on Friday 16th May in Glasgow, will celebrate the outstanding contributions of individuals and teams across the care sector in Scotland. We are thrilled that Service Leaders Heather Birnie and Shaun Duthie are being recognised for their remarkable work.
With an extraordinary 34-year career in social care, Heather is a finalist for the Positive Impact Award. Beginning her journey as a Support Worker in Kirkcudbright, Heather has grown into an inspiring leader and mentor. Her passion for empowering others, unwavering compassion, and commitment to ensuring that every person supported lives a happy and fulfilling life, have left a lasting legacy on countless people, teams, and communities.
Meanwhile, Shaun has been shortlisted for the Emerging Talent Award in recognition of his brilliant leadership and rapid development since joining Community Integrated Care in 2023. Shaun’s transition from Assistant Support Manager to Service Leader has been defined by his resilience, curiosity, and commitment to excellence. Embracing challenge, driving change, and uplifting teams and services, Shaun has already shown great potential.
