Best Lives, Bolder Shortlisted for IOIC Award
Community Integrated Care is proud to announce that the launch of our Best Lives, Bolder strategy has been shortlisted for an award at the Institute of Internal Communication (IOIC) Awards 2026.

The annual IOIC Awards celebrate excellence in internal communication and recognise organisations that use communication to engage, inspire and drive meaningful change. This year’s awards attracted almost 300 entries, with judges praising the overall quality, creativity and impact of submissions.
Our Best Lives, Bolder strategy launch has been shortlisted in the Best Strategic Alignment & Strategy Communication category, which celebrates organisations that excel at communicating their strategy in a way that connects people to organisational goals. Winners are set to be announced at the awards ceremony in London on 17th September 2026.
Launched in 2025, Best Lives, Bolder is our charity’s ambitious five-year strategy. It sets our bold vision for the future, focused on improving outcomes and creating greater opportunities for people with learning disabilities, mental health concerns, physical disabilities, dementia and autistic people, to live their best lives possible.
At the heart of the strategy is our commitment to co-production. Developed alongside the people we support, Best Lives, Bolder was brought to life through their voices, experiences and ambitions, placing people with lived experience at the centre of the story.
This nomination recognises the collaborative communications work that went into launching our new strategy in a compelling, accessible way that resonated across our workforce. Through virtual launch events, a co-produced launch film, a dedicated strategy microsite, launch webinars led by people we support, activity packs, multi-format strategy documents and a manager cascade programme, we worked to ensure that as many people as possible could feel connected to the strategy.
Danielle Chan, Director of Communications and Engagement at Community Integrated Care said, “We’re incredibly proud that the launch of our Best Lives, Bolder strategy has been recognised by the IOIC Awards. This shortlist reflects the passion, creativity and collaboration of our team – engaging with colleagues and people we support from across our charity, to bring our new strategy to life and inspire colleagues from the moment of its launch. Best Lives, Bolder is a shared vision for the future, shaped by the hopes, aspirations and experiences of the people we support. To see that approach recognised by our peers is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the power of authentic, purpose-driven communication.”
