We Welcome NCF Team For Volunteering Day
Community Integrated Care was delighted to welcome colleagues from the National Care Forum (NCF) on Tuesday 14th July, volunteering at our Kingsbridge Way service in Nottingham, as part of their team day.
The NCF team spent the day working alongside colleagues at the service, helping to improve both indoor and outdoor spaces for the people we support and the team.
Their efforts included transforming an unused room that had gradually become a storage area into a bright, functional office space. The improvements will enable the room to be used more effectively, while also creating a dedicated quiet area for colleagues to complete learning and training.
The team also revitalised one of the front communal gardens, adding colourful flowers and planters to create a calming, sensory environment for the people we support to enjoy.

Community Integrated Care’s Managing Director, Edd Terrey, said, “We are incredibly grateful to the team from the National Care Forum for choosing to spend their Team Day volunteering at Kingsbridge Way. Their enthusiasm and hard work to get stuck in have made a real difference to the service. It’s fantastic to see other organisations supporting one another in this way and we sincerely thank them for giving back to our colleagues and the people we support.”
Liz Jones, Deputy CEO and Policy Director at the National Care Forum, said, “It was brilliant to be able to spend an NCF team volunteering day at Community Integrated Care’s service in Beeston. We were delighted to be able to get stuck into some painting, gardening and lots of runs to the tip to help clear a room at the service which is now usable as extra office space. We’ve discovered lots of talents across the NCF team and enjoyed working together in a very different way! We would like to say a huge thank you to Community Integrated Care for hosting us!”
Zoe Justice, Service Leader at Kingsbridge Way, said, “The NCF team were fantastic throughout the day and nothing was too much trouble. They transformed an unused room into a bright, practical workspace and brought new life to one of our communal gardens with colourful flowers and flower pots, creating something for the people we support to enjoy every day. We’re incredibly grateful for all their hard work and support.”
We would like to thank everyone from the National Care Forum who took part and helped create lasting improvements at Kingsbridge Way. Their support has made a meaningful difference to both our colleagues and the people we support.
