We’re celebrating National Care Home Open Day!

Community Integrated Care is proud to be supporting National Care Home Open Day, by holding a series of events in Care Homes throughout England and Scotland!

NCHODCare Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities.

Thousands of care homes across the UK take part each year, welcoming the public and arranging events and activities that help to create lasting links between care home residents and their local communities.

Care Home Open Day about showing people what excellent care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of local communities – and we’re delighted to see so many of our services taking part! You can find contact details for each home by clicking on its name below!

Merse House will be opening their doors for a recruitment drive between 11am and 3pm. Care Home Open Day is a great opportunity to showcase the fulfilling and rewarding careers social care has to offer!

Charnwood Lodge are holding an open day from 2-4pm with a range of entertainment and activities! They’ll also be hosting a meet and greet with the current ‘Queen of the South’ and her attendants at 2.15pm!

Carlingwark House are really embracing this year’s theme (the Arts) by holding an auction of artwork painted by the people supported at the service! They’ll then be visited by a local DJ who’ll be playing everyone’s favourite ‘golden oldie’ tunes!

Thorney Croft have a local musician entertaining everyone from 11am-4pm – and lots of home-baked goodies too!

Cornwall Park are also using this year’s theme to celebrate the artistic flair of the people they support by holding a Greenfingered Gardening Competition – with prizes for the best hanging baskets!

EachStep Blackley will be opening their doors between 11am and 4pm, offering tours of the service while running a full day of activities too!
