Wensley Street celebrating CQC rating

Wensley Street, one of Community Integrated Care’s supported living services in Sheffield, has been awarded with a ‘Good’ rating in all areas from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The home supports up to 22 people with learning disabilities and mental health concerns living in the community. Wensley Street

The team at Wensley Street are celebrating being rated ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for the people the home supports, which are Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led.

The report praised Wensley Street for how comfortable, safe and happy the people supported at the service were, with many positive comments including, “People were treated with dignity and respect” and “Staff were committed to promoting people’s independence.”

The inspectors also praised the communication between the people supported and the team at the service. The report noted that colleagues were committed to respecting and promoting the privacy, dignity and independence of their residents – always ensuring support is always given in response to views, opinions and decision-making.
