Care Employer win at East Midlands Awards!

Community Integrated Care is delighted to have been awarded the prestigious Care Employer Award at yesterday’s Great British Care Awards for the East Midlands region (26th July).

The ‘Care Employer’ award recognises and celebrates employers’ commitment to care and how this is achieving success in delivering an excellent service.

Our Central England regional team were excited to celebrate this accolade, in recognition of our charity’s commitment to supporting our colleagues and employee wellbeing, investing in our teams, and ensuring that Community Integrated Care is a place that celebrates great people and outstanding work.

At the event, we were also proud to be nominated for the Care Innovator Award, for our partnership with the Rugby Football League, Super League, and the Rugby League World Cup 2021- an innovative initiative that has seen our charity create a ground-breaking inclusive volunteering programme, supporting over 300 people with care needs to access a range of accessible and aspirational volunteering opportunities.

Candice York, Managing Director for the Central region, said:

“After such a challenging 18 months, we are incredibly proud to have won the ‘Care Employer’ award in recognition of everything our charity has achieved over the past couple of years, and our commitment to putting our people and colleagues first.

This award celebrates each and every colleague at Community Integrated Care, whose hard work, commitment, passion and resilience ensure that we provide the best services possible to the people we support.”

Last night’s award ceremony took place the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, and forms part of the Great British Care Award’s regional events that celebrate excellence across the sector with Community Integrated Care celebrating 24 finalists in total. Winners from the regional events will go through to a National Finals taking place later this year.
