Taking Part in Disability Awareness Day 2019

Community Integrated Care was delighted to take part in the UK’s biggest disability awareness day this weekend, taking place within the grounds of Walton Hall Gardens in Warrington. Disability Awareness Day

Our North West & Cheshire team represented our charity at Disability Awareness Day (DAD2019), which is the largest not for profit voluntary-led disability exhibition, held annually in a huge tented village. The event is held by Warrington Disability Partnership, a charity providing mobility and independent living solutions.

The exciting event featured more than 250 exhibitors ranging from support providers to advocacy groups, from local community services to suppliers of assistive technologies. Our charity was in great company, with other organisations such as the NHS, United Utilities and Warrington Wolves rugby league club also taking part. Entertaining performances from live bands, dancers and a circus group also took place throughout the afternoon!

Samantha Brennan, Regional Manger for Community Integrated Care in the North West & Cheshire, says, “We’re absolutely delighted to be supporting Disability Awareness Day, which brings together the best support and information our region has to offer for people living with a disability.”

“The day has been such a huge success – to see so many groups collaborating and working together to raise awareness for people with disabilities really is amazing. We’re so proud to have taken part.”
