We join industry experts for round-table dementia discussion

Sue McLean, Community Integrated Care’s Director of Care Services & Outcomes will today take part in a special round table discussion: ‘Dementia and Care Homes: making a positive difference to living with dementia’.

The unique event, which has been organised by the Salford Institute for Dementia, will bring together dementia experts from both the UK and Australia, for an important discussion on ways of enhancing the care home experience of people living with dementia.

The Salford Institute for Dementia was launched in 2013 with the aim of becoming an internally renowned centre of research, education and innovation in dementia care. As well as an opportunity to share learning and best practice, it is hoped that the outcome of today’s discussions will serve to shape the research agenda for Institute.

Sue says: “I am delighted to have been invited to take part in this important debate by the Salford Institute for Dementia. It is only by professionals, providers and carers coming together and sharing our experiences that we can really start to make positive changes for people living with dementia, and the Institute’s research is vital in this.”
