Thorneycroft collected the Business Award in recognition of their dedicated service of the Stranraer community. As well as delivering specialist care to older people, in both its care home and adjoining day care service, Thorneycroft has also fundraised for and shared its resources with several local charities and set up a forum for local family carers.

Louise Gibson, Manager of Thorneycroft, says, “At Thorneycroft, we believe that it is important to play an active and positive role in the local community – helping the people we support to remain part of local life and giving something back to the local area. We were delighted to be recognised for our efforts with this wonderful accolade. Being part of the Commonwealth Games Baton Relay celebrations was a great honour and something that we will never forget.”
