Seb Puts People first to win top Award

Last week, Sebastian Kolbadi, from Community Integrated Care’s Magna Road service in Bournemouth, won ‘The Putting People First Award’ at this year’s South West Great British Care Awards.

The glittering awards ceremony, which hosted over 400 guests from the South West care sector was held at Aston Gate Stadium in Bristol. The Great British Care Awards celebrate excellence in the care sector, promoting best practice within both care homes and home care services.

Seb, who is a Senior Support Worker, won the prestigious award by consistently delivering person centered care. He recently helped the people we support in our Magna Road service completely re-decorate their lounge and bedrooms with homely items chosen by them.

The award hosts themselves noted that Sebastian had, “completely changed the home and was not afraid of the challenge. He motivated the team, gave them energy and completely changed the home with decorating throughout, revamping the garden, all with getting the residents involved”.

Mark Adams, CEO of Community Integrated Care, commented on Seb’s success, “It’s fantastic to see the exceptional work of our staff being awarded on a national stage. We are so proud of them and of the consistently exceptional work they deliver to the people we support daily. Well done, Seb!”.
