People We Support Watch On As Scotland Seal Promotion

Colleagues and people supported by Community Integrated Care, along with their friends and family, were invited to the UEFA Nations League match between Scotland Vs Israel on Tuesday which took place in Hampden Park, Glasgow.

The thrilling match saw Scotland come from behind to beat Israel 3 – 2, with James Forrest scoring a fantastic hat-trick, securing Scotland a play-off spot for Euro 2020. The win also confirmed Scotland’s Nations League promotion.

Guests included residents from our community-based services for people with learning disabilities, mental health concerns and autism. They were also joined by colleagues from our regional offices in Aberdeen and Glasgow who all enjoyed the famous Hampden Park atmosphere.

Garry Leach, our Director of Strategic Projects, who traveled to Glasgow all the way from our office in the North West region to attend commented on the football match saying, “It was absolutely fantastic, everyone was having such an unforgettable time cheering the hosts on. Attending the game was another fantastic benefit that makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work.”

Community Integrated Care praised the amazing work of the staff at Hampden Park for their welcoming approach and attitude to our colleagues and the people we support. With seats right next to the side line our guests had an incredible time at one of the most intense matches of the series so far!

Karen Sheridan, Chief Operating Officer for Independent Living & Enterprise, commented on the success of the game “Seeing the people we support really enjoying the experience has been wonderful. This is just another way in which Community Integrated Care are highlighting their dedication to a person-centered approach in social care.”
