Our Volunteer Creates Match Day Report

This week, England’s Womens Rugby Leage team held their opening match at Headingley Stadium, Leeds and our RLWC Inclusive Volunteer, Luke was there to report on all the action.

Luke Whitehead is one of our RLWC2021 Inclusive Volunteers and Learning Disability Super League players, from Castleford. Luke has discovered a great interest for journalism and so through our Media Club he has been able to gain skills, confidence and pursue his passion.

As part of his volunteering role, Luke happily took on the role of match reporter at the opening game for the Women’s Rugby League World Cup 2021 between England and Brazil. With media accreditation at the match, Luke has drafted the below report, including his write up of the game and captured photography from the night.
