New Scotland Rugby League Competition

Community Integrated Care has teamed up with Scotland Rugby League to launch an incredible new competition. Together, we are inviting a person who has care or support needs to design the official Scotland Rugby League training t-shirt, which will be worn at the Rugby League World Cup 2021!

This project is open to social care providers, SEN schools, community groups, or people who want to apply independently. The competition is open until Monday 19th April. Click here to shirt design download your toolkit.

This unique competition celebrates the launch of a pioneering new partnership, which sees Community Integrated Care become the Official Social Care Partner of Scotland Rugby League. Together, we will be creating exciting new opportunities for people who have support needs to enjoy playing and watching the sport in Scotland.

A World Class Opportunity

T shirt design competition graphic with Scotland Rugby League World Cup 2021Scotland are proud to be participating in both the Men’s and Wheelchair Rugby League competitions at the Rugby League World Cup 2021. The tournament, which takes place across England in October and November 2021 will be one of the biggest global sporting events of the year.

The lucky winner will see their design adopted as the training t-shirt that both of teams will wear in the run-up to the tournament and at the World Cup itself.

Judges in this competition, which will include representatives of Scotland Rugby League and people who access care and support, will be looking for a creative design that the Scotland teams will be proud to wear. They are not necessarily looking for the best artist, but a compelling concept that celebrates Scotland and the Rugby League World Cup 2021 or the theme of inclusion.

The lucky winner will receive an exclusive prize-pack, including a framed version of their shirt and the chance to watch Scotland men’s team play in the Rugby League World Cup 2021 in Newcastle.

Our charity has championed the growth of Learning Disability Rugby League, supporting the development of the Community Integrated Care Learning Disability Super League. We’re also the Official Social Care Partner of the Rugby League World Cup 2021, Rugby Football League and Super League.

This year we’re also leading a ground-breaking inclusive volunteering programme for people who have support needs at the Rugby League World Cup 2021.

The Rugby League World Cup 2021 will be a historic event and there is no bigger honour than being connected to your national team. This is an exciting and prestigious once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for someone. We can’t wait to see the entries and look forward to developing many more exciting opportunities with Scotland Rugby League in the years ahead.”
