Kirkdale House win at Yorkshire Care Awards

Community Integrated Care are proud to celebrate one of our services being awarded a prestigious care sector award at this year’s Great British Care Awards Yorkshire which took place on Friday (11th November).

The team at our Kirkdale House service in Thornaby, North Yorkshire, won the Housing with Care Award, celebrating their dedication to providing truly person-centered support to people living in their own homes.

Working with the people they support, families, social workers and local authorities, the team have shown a consistent commitment to ensuring that support plans are the best they can be to deliver amazing outcomes for the people supported, with a focus on increasing independence and involvement in the local community.

Alongside Kirkdale House, our charity’s services across Yorkshire were also awarded a Highly Commended recognition for the Care Employer category, recognising social care organisations with a sustained track record of delivering high quality care.

At the event, we also had another 3 fantastic finalists:

• The Care Home Team Award – Acorn House
• The Care Innovator Award – Community Integrated Care & Rugby League World Cup 2021
• The Social Care Covid Hero Award – Juta Matisone, Support Worker at Street Lane

I am incredibly proud of the team, as well as our four other incredible finalists on the evening, each so well-deserving of the recognition.”

Last night’s awards ceremony forms part of the Great British Care Award’s regional events, celebrating excellence across the sector. The ceremonies continue to take place throughout this month across other regions, with Community Integrated Care celebrating 32 finalists in total.

Winners from the regional events will go through to a National Finals taking place in 2023.
