GROW shortlisted for Learning Award

Community Integrated Care is delighted to be shortlisted for a special accolade at The Learning Awards, in recognition of our GROW programme.

Developed by our in-house Learning and Development Team, GROW launched across the charity in April 2023.

Born out of the team researching the learning needed to support people with an Acquired Brain Injury, a wide range of skills needed to provide excellent support were highlighted, and the team created GROW – a social care learning solution which supports our frontline colleagues to deliver exceptional quality support.

Ran by The Learning and Performance Institute and sponsored by the likes of Microsoft and Lidl, The Learning Awards celebrate ‘innovation and achievement in workplace learning’.

GROW is shortlisted for the People Development Programme of the Year – Public Sector/Not For Profit Award. This prestigious accolade acknowledges a not-for-profit or public sector organisation which has implemented a proactive, large-scale People Development Programme which has significantly improved performance across the company.

On this fantastic achievement, Head of Capability Development, Deborah Betts, shared: “We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted for the People Development Programme of the Year Award. We’re really proud of GROW and how it has revolutionised learning across our charity – it recognises the many complex and varied skills that our frontline colleagues need to be confident, capable Support Workers, and we’ve seen firsthand how it’s empowered our teams to take ownership of their learning and development, so that they can provide the very best support.”

“We’ve already had so much positive feedback on GROW, with over 190,000 pieces of learning completed since its launch, and we can’t wait to see how the programme evolves and changes with the needs of our teams and the people we support. To receive this nomination just tops off all the success we’ve had so far. Thank you to the Learning Awards for shortlisting us for this prestigious accolade – it’s truly an honour to be shortlisted alongside big names like HMRC and the World Health Organisation.”

Winners will be announced on this week, 22nd February, at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London. Thank you to everybody involved in the creation of GROW and all our colleagues who have eagerly engaged with the programme – and we look forward to evolving GROW as the needs of our team and the people we support change.
