Good Care Week Celebrated!

Community Integrated Care celebrated Good Care Week last week in style with events and activities to mark this special campaign!

Backed by Norman Lamb, Good Care Week aims to provide a platform for everyone involved in social care to raise the profile of the care sector both locally and nationally. It encourages people to become Good Care Champions, and raise awareness of excellence in our sector.

Heartly Green Care Home in Salford marked the occasion with a whole week of activities, including a champions day, which involved experts giving five-minute training discussions on a variety of topics, including how to spot the signs of illness in a care home. Staff and people supported at the service got involved in a special Sports Day, which filled the home with sporting spirit and laughter! They closed Good Care Week with a tea dance, where residents were treated to delicious cakes and a singer in the home!

Charlfont Road in Warrington used Good Care Week as an opportunity to show their appreciation to the social work team at Warrington Council for helping them to move into their new homes, by crafting lovely thank you cards for the team!

Take a look at some great photos from Good Care Week…
