GE Capital Volunteer at Care Home

Staff and residents at Longford Residential Care Home in Chorlton-cum-Hardy were delighted to welcome a team of volunteers from financial services company GE Capital who helped decorate their home.

Care Home Welcomes GE Capital VolunteersThe seven-strong group, from GE Capital’s Sale office, chose to donate their time to the care home as part of GE Capital’s corporate volunteer scheme, which encourages employees to give back to their local community

The team wasted no time in getting started, working with enthusiasm to brighten up the home with an afternoon of painting and decorating. The group worked tirelessly, with particular focus on areas in which residents spend much of their time, such as the dining room.

Anna Dimond, Home Manager at Longford Care Home, says: “We are delighted with the work that the GE Capital team have done today, and from everybody here, I’d like to thank them for so generously donating their time to us.”

“They’ve put so much effort into making the dining and communal areas such pleasant spaces for our residents and guests and we are all truly grateful.”
