Featuring on BBC’s Newsnight

Community Integrated Care’s Chief People Officer, Teresa Exelby, will feature on this evening’s episode of Newsnight, airing tonight on BBC Two at 10.30pm.

The piece focuses on the current challenges in the social care sector, in particular issues surrounding recruitment and retention due to increasing competition in the UK job market.

Caroline Broughall, Community Integrated Care’s Regional Manager in the North West, joined Teresa for the piece. Managing 17 services across Stockport and Halton, Caroline was able to speak first-hand about the current recruitment crisis in the sector and the struggle to fill vacancies for frontline care and support roles.

Both colleagues were interviewed by Newsnight’s Policy Editor, Lewis Goodall, who has covered many stories from the care sector throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. Newsnight has an average viewing rating of over one million people.

You can tune into the programme tonight at 10.30pm on BBC Two or on the BBC iPlayer.
