Employee Raises £1000 for Manchester Attack Victims

Community Integrated Care would like to congratulate our Employee Relations Specialist, Rashmi Aggarwal, on raising over £1000 for the British Red Cross towards their We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

Rashmi, who works at our charity’s Head Office in Widnes, put her creative skills to the test by holding a Henna Tattoo Event for her family, friends and local community – inking people with a tattoo of the Manchester Worker Bee as a mark of respect to those affected by the terrible attack in Manchester last month.

By collecting donations from those who took part, Rashmi raised an incredible £1097.32 for the cause. The We Love Manchester Emergency Fund was established following the tragedy, to ensure that the victims and families affected by the incident do not have to face short-term financial difficulty. It has also offered practical and emotional support to those effected.

Rashmi says: “Like everyone else, I was so shocked and saddened to see the awful event in Manchester last month. I just wanted to be able to give something back, no matter how big or small, to those who were impacted. The tattoos not only raised a great amount but also showed solidarity with Manchester – I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity.”
