EachStep Care Transfers to Park Homes UK

Community Integrated Care can confirm that their EachStep Care Division, which includes 15 Older People’s Care Homes, has officially transferred to specialist care provider, Park Homes (UK) Ltd.

In May this year, Community Integrated Care announced its plans to transfer, and have since been working closely with Park Homes to ensure a smooth transition for everyone involved. All frontline colleagues, including the division’s leadership structure, also transfer to Park Homes under TUPE regulations.

Our charity has provided residential care to older people for over thirty years. However, in recent years, these homes have become increasingly unsustainable, due to constraints on funding from local authorities which has meant a significant subsidy from the wider charity.

Park Homes are a small, family-run dementia care based in Yorkshire, who expressed an interest in acquiring Community Integrated Care’s 15 EachStep Care Homes to expand their reach across England and Scotland.

Their infrastructure, ability to invest and specialist expertise will ensure the ongoing success and sustainability of the services, helping them to meet the changing demands in the sector for innovative, modern and truly specialist care and support.

Mark Adams, Chief Executive Officer at Community Integrated Care says: “Whilst we are incredibly sad to say goodbye to the much-loved and long-standing teams at EachStep Care, we know this is a really positive outcome for all parties.”

“These services have been an important part of our charity for three decades. However, in recent years, the lack of long-term sustainability has meant a level of uncertainty for people supported, loved ones and colleagues in our care homes. This move guarantees their future with another quality organisation, whilst also being in the best interests of the rest of Community Integrated Care.”

“I’d like to thank our colleagues for their continued dedication and commitment over the last three decades – and especially this last 18 months, where their work to keep the people they support safe and well in the most challenging of circumstances has been incredible. We’re confident that this transfer will represent a bright future for EachStep Care with Park Homes, who share our values for delivering life-changing support that enables people to live great lives.”

Our charity will still continue to support some older people through their Age Exchange partnership and Extra Care Services, both of which remain important to the long-term future of the charity.
