Community Integrated Care Attend NAS Conference

This week Community Integrated Careattended the National Autistic Society Professional Conference in Manchester.

This annual two-day event was a unique opportunity for senior care professionals to come together to discuss best practice and share learning.

Community Integrated Care’s National Autism Lead, Stuart Dryden, who represented us at the conference, said: “Autism is one of Community Integrated Care’s specialist areas and we support almost 200 people with needs across the Autism spectrum; so it is vital that we stay informed about what is happening in the field, as well as collaborate with other professionals to help us improve our services and achieve positive outcomes for the people we support.”

“This year’s conference programme was really exceptional, with many top speakers including the eminent Dr Gary Mesibov, Professor in Psychiatry from the University of North Carolina.”

“As well as this we were able to take part in a range of useful workshops and seminars, which gave us the opportunity to meet other providers and professionals, as well as give us ideas on how best to shape our Autism strategy, and develop new leads for business.”

You can read more about Community Integrated Care’s approach in the field by reading our article ‘Spotlight on Autism’ (pages 14-15), in the latest edition of our magazine, You First.
