Community Integrated Care & Skills For Care

Hot on the heels of it’s Charity of the Year success earlier this month, Community Integrated Care is proud to announce that we are up for the prestigious Skills For Care Accolades Awards 2020.

Skills For Care are an independent charity who create a well-led, skilled and valued adult social care workforce. They set the standards and qualifications for social care workers to deliver high quality care.

This will be the 16th year for the Skills For Care Accolades Awards and the charity has been fortunate enough to be recognised for the great work they do. Following an initial judging round, Skills For Care shortlisted our organisation in the category of Best Employer.

This week, as part of the judging process, the team welcomed judges from Skills for Care to Eliot Gardens, our Outstanding Extra Care Service in Wigan, as we presented the incredible work completed over the last 12 months.

Mark Adams, Chief Executive Officer at Community Integrated Care says: “It goes without saying that being recognised by Skills For Care is a fantastic accomplishment. It really is a testament to the loyalty and dedication that each colleague brings to the table to drive Community Integrated Care forward and continue to challenge the status quo.

As part of charity’s We Dare strategy, we have ambitious aims to be recognised as a Top 3 Employer in the health and social care sector – this nomination shows that we are heading in the right direction.

All our fingers are crossed in the hope that we advance through to the finals, however, what can be said is that we are putting our best foot forward to actually be the best employer we can be.”
