Community Integrated Care is proud to have been shortlisted for two top care sector honours at the prestigious 3rd Sector Care Awards, sponsored by Markel. 3rd Sector Care Awards

The ceremony took place at the Marriot Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London, on Friday 6th December. The awards are designed to reward the hard work, dedicated, innovation and excellence of everyone working in the not-for-profit sector who is making a positive difference to people’s lives.

Organised by Care Management Matters, and developed in conjunction with the National Care Forum, the awards are highly respected for bringing together the very best achievements of the care sector.

Community Integrated Care was recognised at the event in two categories being shortlisted for both the ‘Technology Award’ and the ‘Innovative Quality Outcomes’ accolade.

The ‘Technology Award’ recognises Community Integrated Care’s use of technology in an innovative and person-centered way to enhance the lives of the people they support. This year, the charity has embraced the use of a digital planning system called Nourish, introduced its new learning and development platform Dare to Learn and installed broadband and Wi-Fi across its services in the UK and Scotland.

The Community Integrated Care Learning Disability League was also celebrated at the event after being shortlisted for the ‘Innovative Quality Outcomes’ award. The project, which is in partnership with Super League and the RFL, was recognised for changing lives through sport. John Hughes received a Special Recognition after having worked on the project since its launch at the start of the year.

Mark Adams, CEO of Community Integrated Care said, “To be shortlisted at such a prestigious ceremony for not one but two awards is absolutely fantastic. These nominations represent the successes of our colleagues, our projects and our partnerships throughout 2019, and pave the way for even more success in 2020.”
