Community Integrated Care attend SCVO Gathering!

Last week saw Community Integrated Care exhibit at The Gathering in Glasgow – Scotland’s largest event for charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations. 

 The prestigious annual event, now in its 15th year, is organised by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) with an aim to bring people from the third sector together to share learning and build networks. Other exhibitors included The Big Issue Scotland, Cancer Research UK and the National Lottery Community Fund. SVCO Gathering

The two-day event was opened by Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, who thanked the third sector for their hard work and dedication. In her opening speech on the main stage, she commented: “The Gathering is a great way of addressing the challenges but above all else celebrating and recognising the contribution and amazing work of the sector.”

Day two of the event saw Community Integrated Care’s Head of Complex Care, Jo Harrison-Smith, deliver an inspiring presentation, looking how social care organisations can bring the community and complex care together. In her talk, Jo discussed quoted an amazing case study stating, “with the right support – anything is possible”, highlighting how this has an incredible impact on the people we support.
