New Director of Senior Care Services Appointed

Community Integrated Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Gill Bruton as its new Director of Senior Care Services.

Gill joins Community Integrated Care from senior care charity Sheffcare, where she held the position of Head of Business Development.

In her new role, which commenced on 24th April, Gill will take lead responsibility for the overall operational management, development and growth of Community Integrated Care’s senior care service portfolio. Gill will also play a key role in helping Community Integrated Care cultivate strong relationships with commissioners, purchasers and potential commercial partners within the senior care sector.

Gill has experience in both the third and commercial sectors. At Sheffcare, Gill was responsible for the organisation’s business development strategy, focussing on the development of a range of services to meet the needs of older people in the Sheffield area.

Prior to this Gill spent nine years at Anchor, where she had the opportunity to build upon her operational skills, as well as gaining significant experience in a variety of support services functions including Business Development, Marketing, HR and Training.

Jane Worsley, Community Integrated Care’s Director of Operations and Deputy CEO says, “We are delighted to have appointed someone of Gill’s calibre for what will be a key role within our charity. Gill impressed the interview panel with her broad experience across a wide variety of business areas, making her uniquely placed to take a leading role in developing and implementing our senior care and dementia strategies.”

“We look forward to drawing upon Gill’s expertise to ensure that Community Integrated Care continually develops and improves our senior care offering to meet the changing needs of our customers. As always, quality and standards within our services remain our priority and we are confident that Gill’s appointment will ensure that that these are maintained across Community Integrated Care’s senior care portfolio.”

Gill Bruton adds: “I am delighted to be joining Community Integrated Care at such an exciting time and have been impressed with the level of enthusiasm and commitment I have seen within the organisation so far.  I am also very proud to be joining an organisation that is pioneering innovations in senior care, with the launch of the charity’s £5 million pound dementia care service in Manchester, EachStep. I am looking forward to being part of the team that will shape and operate this fantastic new service, as well as using my experience to help the organisation continue to develop and deliver services which put our customers at their heart.”
