Community Integrated Care appoints Director of Operations

Community Integrated Care is proud to announce the appointment of John Heritage, former Director of Operations and Integration at 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust, as its new Director of Operations.

In his role, John will be responsible for the operational performance of our charity’s services across England, which have an annual turnover of over £80m. He will also play a key role in supporting the organisation’s ambitious personalisation project and assisting Community Integrated Care to achieve its strategic vision of becoming ‘The UK’s Leading Health and Social Care Charity’.

John has enjoyed a highly successful career in the health and social care sector, holding a number of senior, strategic roles. As ‎Director of Operations and Integration for 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust, he was responsible for quality and performance across the Trusts Operational services and managing relationships with Clinical Commissioning Groups and Local Authorities. He has also previously held Director of Development positions at the mental health charity, Making Space, and The Prince’s Trust.

Neil Matthewman, Chief Executive of Community Integrated Care, says, “Our charity is on an ambitious journey, with the aim of becoming the UK’s Leading Health and Social Care Charity. To do this we need people in leadership roles who have the right skills, experience and values to take our organisation forward – I believe that John has all of these qualities. We are looking forward to him taking on this vital role and to helping to shape our organisation.”

John Heritage says, “I am delighted to be joining Community Integrated Care at this exciting point in its organisational journey. One of my early priorities is to visit as many of our services as possible and understand from those who lead them, those who commission them, and – most importantly – those who are supported by them, their aspirations for the future. I am looking forward to making a difference at the charity and to be able to play a part in leading its future.”
