Colleagues Awarded on National Stage!

Community Integrated Care was exceptionally proud to have colleagues recognised at two glittering award ceremonies last week, in honour of their incredible care and support.

We were delighted to attend the National Dementia Care Awards in Brighton, where we were nominated for three accolades.

The fantastic EachStep Blackley Team were nominated for Best Team, with Frankie Conroy, who oversees activities in the service, also being nominated for Best Activity Coordinator. The Activity Academy, our innovative dementia event in partnership with Halton Borough Council, Widnes Vikings and NHS Halton CCG, was also nominated for Best Training Initiative.

There was an exceptionally special moment for us when the event host, former MP Hazel Blears, referenced the exceptional support Community Integrated Care provided her Mum at Pemberton Fold Care Home, going on to wish us luck for our nominations.

To be shortlisted as a finalist is an achievement in itself, and we are so proud of our amazing colleagues and the outstanding care they deliver daily.

We were also proud to be represented at the East Midlands Great British Care Awards in Nottingham

A fantastic night enjoyed by all, particularly the staff team at Dawson Close in Nottingham, as they bagged themselves the honour for Best Team!

It was a privilege to be nominated in two categories, not forgetting our truly inspiring finalist Andrea Levon, Senior Support Worker, who was nominated for the Palliative Care Award for her dedication to a person she supported in the final days of his life. Congratulations to all of our nominees and to the team at Dawson Close – you’re all stars!

Mark Adams, CEO of Community Integrated Care commented on the nominations saying, “It is fantastic to see the exceptional work of our staff being recognised by these two prestigious award ceremonies. We are incredibly proud and we know how well deserved these incredible acknowledgements are for our dedicated team of staff.”
